Salome T Garza

Salome “Nellie” Trujillo Garza passed peacefully in her sleep on August 4th, 2016 in the loving presence of her two sons and three daughters, grandchildren, Victor Garza, Ryan Garza, Joey Arcizo, Amanda Arcizo, and Angela Garza as well as many other loving friends.

She was born in Woodsboro, Texas on May 7, 1928 to parents Tomas and Ramona Trujillo. She had 9 brothers and sisters. She married on July 25, 1953 to Eugenio Garza in Skidmore, Texas. They had three sons and three daughters. 14 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Salome is preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Ramona Trujillo, her husband, Eugenio Garza, her brothers, Victor, Pablo, Tomas, Benito, and Juan, her sisters, Elvira and Mary Trujillo Gonzales and her son Hector Garza. She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Trujillo and sister, Nieves Trujillo Cerda, her sons Raymond Garza and Eugenio Garza Jr and her daughters, Yolanda Garza Arcizo, Rosemary Garza, and Norma Garza Sablatura.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday August 8, 2016 from 5 – 7 PM with Rosary at 7 PM at the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at St Gregory the Great Catholic Church, followed by burial at Brookside Memorial Park and a reception at Brookside Funeral Home.
