Born in Waelder, Texas, Ruth was the beloved daughter of Pilar and Micaela Miranda and one of thirteen siblings. She is survived by her sisters Janie Alvarado, Margaret Prieto, and Gloria Salazar, and her brother Jesse Miranda, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Ruth grew up in Houston, where she met and married the love of her life, Andrew Sanchez Sr. Together, they shared 50 years of marriage. Ruth dedicated her entire life to her ten children and grandchildren. A devoted, graceful, and selfless mother, Ruth was the heart of her family. She had a deep love for crafts, fashion and was always impeccably dressed, bringing joy and laughter to every gathering with her natural charm and gentle humor.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Sanchez Sr.; sons Andrew Jr., George, and Rudolph; and four grandchildren.
She leaves behind a loving legacy through her children: sons James, Arthur, Richard, and Larry; daughters Margaret, Susan, and Sonia. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to her son, Larry Hilario Sanchez and daughter, Susan Sanchez, for the compassionate care they provided during Ruth’s final days.
