Ruby Diane Wright

Ruby Diane Wright, age 74, of Splendora, Texas passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021. Ruby was born August 21, 1946. In her younger years, she was an avid horse lover and was an accomplished barrel racer. Her love of animals endured through the time of her passing. She graduated from Sam Houston High school in 1964. In 1965, she met the love of her life Willis Michael and married in 1966. She began her career in 1978 as a registered dental assistant. She retired from dentistry in 2008. As a barrel racer, she was a founding member of the Trinity Valley Barrel Racing Association. Ruby was a member of Splendora Baptist Church and later became a devoted and beloved member of Grace Covenant Baptist Church. She had a passion for dogs her entire life and never missed an opportunity to take in a stray in need of a home.Ruby loved camping, fishing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and beloved church family.

Ruby is preceded in death by her brother, Paul Wittge; and mother, Beatrice Wittge. She is survived by her spouse, Willis Michael Wright (Willie); daughter, Michele Manshack and son in law Dee Manshack Jr.; sons, Michael and Jon Wright, daughter in laws Jennifer Wright and Kim Wright; grandchildren, Megan and Luke Shepherd, Miranda and Colton Pope, Brittany Wright, Brice Wright, Ashlyn Wright, Auston Wright; great grandchildren, Emberly Pope, Truitt Pope and Beau Starns; brothers: Larry Wittge.
