Ruby G. Clark, age 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 9, 2018. Ruby was born May 22, 1921, in Houston Heights, Texas to parents Ruby and Edgar Gay, living her life in the Houston Heights. She married William “Bill” Clark on April 2, 1944, and supported him in building Clark Motors on Washington Avenue, and Clark Angus Ranch in Huntsville, TX.
Ruby was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and the Matriarch of the Family. Her unconditional love, humor, kindness and leadership will be greatly missed.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Tena Clark; sons, Eddie Clark and his wife, Pattie; Douglas Clark; Matthew Clark and his wife, Carmen; grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Greg Clark, Beau Clark, Megan Clark, Sara Clark, Emma Clark; nieces Barbara Bencal, Darnell Combes; nephews Michael Bencal, Steve Bencal; as well as numerous great grandchildren, grand nieces and nephews, and special friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her spouse William Clark, her son, David Clark, sisters, Geraldine Bencal, Margaret Gay, and nephew Greg Bencal.
A visitation for Ruby will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM, at Heights Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, Texas 77055. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your favorite charity.
