Ruben V. Gonzalez, 84, passed away on December 9, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was born September 23, 1932 in Falfurrias, Texas . Ruben is preceded in death by his wife: Diamantina Tijerina Gonzales; parents: Baldomero & Estella Vela Gonzalez; sons: Ruben Gonzales, Jr., Erik Joaquin Ybarra, and daughter: Marina Gonzales, Alverado. Left to cherish his memory, children: Mario Gonzales and David Gonzales; grandchildren: Jason Wayne Gonzales, Marlo Marie Gonzales, Richard Rico Garcia, and Erik Jordan Ybarra; siblings: Alma Sauceda and Noe Gonzalez. Vistation for family and friends will begin on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 12pm to 4pm. Funeral Service will be on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10am. Both services will be held in the Large Chapel of Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 N. Freeway Houston, Texas 77022. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
