Rosemary Gibbs

Rosemary Gibbs, age 81, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Rosemary was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on January 31, 1942 to Dimple and Hubert Heflin. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Berniece Bratton.

Rosemary is survived by the love of her life, Jerry Gibbs. They married on March 10, 1961 in Houston, Texas and built a beautiful life together for 62 years. In addition to her loving husband, she is also survived by her daughters Jenny and Susan, 6 grandchildren: Kendall (Shinji) Strain, Jake (Sarah) Cooley, Sam Cooley, Daniel (Bridget) Coborn, Brittany (Nick) Fernandez, and Caity (James) Carr, 7 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Janet (Mark) Benavides, David (Jeanne) Heflin, and Keith Heflin.

Rosemary graduated from Reagan High School and later worked for various companies in the Houston area providing administrative support. Her true passion was her family. She was immensely proud of her daughters and loved spending time with loved ones, especially during the holidays. She was an incredible hostess and had a knack for making everyone feel welcomed and included. She will be remembered as a sweet, funny, and loving wife, mom, aunt, gram and sister.
