Roseann M Doremus

Roseann Morgan Doremus, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 09, 2022, at the age of 94. She was born March 10, 1928. She was the daughter of Charles & Rose Morgan of PA. Her husband of 68 years, Eugene Doremus, passed away April 17, 2021. Roseann had three children, two sons, Eric (8/23/1955 - 6/30/2020) & Glenn and daughter Jean Anne. She has four grandchildren, Caren & Eddy, Erica & Gabriella. She has three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Payten & Finley.

Roseann grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh PA. It was while she was working at Gulf Oil Resource Center as a supervisor in the mapping room that she met a geologist that became her husband. He was transferred to the West Texas area and her adventure began. They bought a house in Wichita Falls Texas and started a family. Nine years later they moved to Morgan City, LA. They lived there 4 years then they moved to New Orleans, LA. After a year they were transferred back to Pittsburgh PA. They lived in Penn Hills, PA for 5 years when they were transferred for the last time to Houston, Texas where she lived for the next 49 years.

Roseann was involved with Girl Scouts before and after she married in 1953. She has been a Brownie, Junior, & Cadette Leader. She was also a Summer Camp Directed and Director of many day camps. She was a trainer of GS Leaders, Directors and assortment of other things GS related. She was a Neighborhood Chairman many years. In 1988 she was presented with a GS Lifetime Membership Certificate.

Over Roseann & Eugene’s 68 years of marriage, the family enjoyed summer car trips visiting family on the east coast every other year and discovering the mid to west parts of the US in the other years. Once Eugene retired from Gulf, they travel all over North America and Canada in their Motor Home until health grounded them.
