Ms. Brady was born July 23, 1942, in Houston, TX to Lee and Rosie Mae Ruffino Church of Bryan, TX. She attended St. Theresa Catholic Church and School and was a proud graduate of Reagan High School in 1960. She was one of the founding members of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church community. She was a devout Christian who attended the Prince of Peace Catholic Church since its establishment in 1974. Rosalie was loved by all of her family and friends who could always rely on her infinite wisdom and sound advice, welcoming smile, caring and nurturing personality, and love of preparing large feasts. Her daughter, Tina, shared a very strong bond with her and they talked every day. They reminisced and laughed together, traveled together, spent their weekends together, and watched Hallmark movies together. Their bond went beyond that of just a mother and daughter; they were best friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren all experienced her infinite love and affection and all knew her as “Granny.” Her grandchildren, Michele and Jeffrey, share memories of going to her house every Sunday after church to share stories and laughs. Rosalie never stopped being a caregiver, especially to her first great-granddaughter Hannah Rose, whom Rosalie watched over every day since her birth. Her second great-granddaughter, Laina, came into the family along with her father, Jorge, and immediately Rosalie loved and adored both. Rosalie was present for the newest addition to the family, Jorgie, who even though the time together was short, she loved and showed immense affection towards. She was especially excited to attend Jeffrey and Raegan’s wedding, where she planned to dance with her grandson to her favorite song and welcome Raegan to her family.
In her early years, Rosalie loved bowling, tennis, playing bridge, western dancing, and volunteering at St. Rose of Lima and Cypress Creek High School FHA.
She especially enjoyed the holidays, celebrating with her family and watching Hallmark movies.
She was an avid reader of romance novels, a traveler, and a frequenter of slot machines at the casino, especially the Top Dollar machine.
