Robert was sent to the Lord on June 11, 2011. He was born on September 22, 1929. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Thompson; sons: Jerry Thompson, Mike Thompson & his wife Linda; daughter, Suzie Thompson Hancock & husband Bob; grandchildren: Joy, Randy, Virgil, Chase; great grandchildren:Colten, Raegann, Cheyenne, Harley & Elli; sisters: Joyce Silvey, Doris Adkins, Dorothy Preddy & husband Bob; brother, John Thompson; along with other dear family and many, many friends. Robert was SGT. 1st Class in the Korean War, (Wolf Hound Patallion) and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4816 of Porter. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be truly missed. Graveside Services will be 2:30PM, Tuesday, June 14th at Brookside Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Conroe VA Clinic & staff of Conroe as well as a special thank you to "Rosa Angel Care" and the family.
