Robert Lee Roberts Sr.

Lee graduated from Kirwin High School. Later he married the love of his life, Joan Roberts and remained married for 62 loving years.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his Country during the Korean War, earning the rank of Sergeant. After his separation from the military, Lee had a career as a Federal Grain Inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture.

Lee was a devoted member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Honor Guard as the Chaplain, where he helped many families honor their departed veterans. He had a passion for music, woodworking, veterans, but above all, his true passion was his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Roberts; daughter, Andrea Lollis and husband John; sons, Robbie Roberts and wife Linda, Steve Roberts and partner Stephanie Fullerton; grandchildren, Susan Bridges and husband Dennis, Mason Roberts and fiancée Alexandra Lorraine, Lilian Roberts, Paul Duncan III and wife Debbie, Temperance Robbins and husband Robert, Mary Fuller and husband Paul; many loving great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, John David and Teresa Novelle Roberts; sister, Mary Edwards; brothers, John Andrews, and Alvin Moser.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. The Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 11:00am at American Heritage Funeral Home with a Committal Service to follow at 12:30pm at Houston National Cemetery with military honors to be rendered.
