Born in Houston, Texas, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Corky graduated from Reagan High School and attended Texas A&M University until serving in the US Marine Corps. After returning to civilian life he followed his father’s footsteps in the paper industry where he worked for 42 years. He developed many lifelong friendships throughout his career. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid Texas Aggie football fan. He loved spending time at the purple beach house in Surfside as well as The Miller’s Ponderosa in Bedias.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beatrice Miller, his first wife, Mildred Bailey Miller, and his second wife of 57 years, Blandina “Blondie” Pawlak Miller. Corky is survived by his daughter Cheryle and husband Kenneth Michalec; sons, Jeffrey Miller and wife Dianne and Joseph Miller and wife Brandy; grandchildren, Michelle Bunch (Michael), Jonathan Michalec (Jennifer), Chaneka Michalec, Aaron Miller, Alyssa McKenney (Kameron), Chelsea Guercio (Vincent), Ethan Miller (Sarah), and Tristan Miller; 15 Great-Grandchildren; brother Carroll Jerome “Jerry” Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
