Robert B. Ferguson, Sr. passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023. Bob, also affectionately known as Bobby and R.B., was born on December 26, 1945 to Emma Foote Ferguson and Hershal C. Ferguson, Sr. He leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered for generations to come.
Bob was raised in Houston and attended Lamar High School. He later attended the University of Texas, where he majored in Finance and Business Administration. He obtained his Texas Real Estate Broker License at the age of 19. This early start marked the beginning of a nearly six-decade-long journey in the real estate industry, where his expertise and dedication would come to define him. Throughout his lifetime, Robert was a visionary whose impact on the real estate landscape was immeasurable.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother. He was a cherished friend and respected mentor to many. His wisdom and generosity enriched the lives of all who knew him. Friends knew that, in times of trouble, his door would always be open. Bob’s soft-spoken and relaxed demeanor was accompanied with a twinkling eye and engaging sense of fun. He was a quintessential charmer.
Bob is survived by his children, Robert (Bobby) B. Ferguson, Jr. along with his wife Chantal and their children, Leighton, Hadley, and Emma Ferguson, and Christopher Corey Ferguson along with his wife Kelly and their children, Luke, James (Jamie), and Peter Ferguson. He is also survived by his brothers, Hershal C. Ferguson, Jr. and Stephen Ferguson.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, at Second Baptist Church (Woodway) at 2:00 PM, where friends and family can gather to honor the memory of a remarkable man.
