Bobby D spent his career working as a lighting engineer for 30 + years, and recently retired from LD Systems. Although Bobby called Houston his home, he traveled the world on various music tours to include ZZ Top, Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Bon Jovi. He routinely worked the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and enjoyed supporting the music industry in his community. He will be remembered for his endless stories, ability to call anyone a friend, and unwaveringly love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Dominguez Sr. and Tommie Dominguez; grandparents, Juan and Pauline Calbillo; and sister-in-law, Edna Dominguez. He is survived by his sisters, Norma Pulci (Tony), Rosanna Foyt (Brian), brother, Edward Dominguez, grandchildren, Cody and Gracie Kettler, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Santana.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 between 5:00-7:00 pm at Pat H. Foley & Company and a mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11:00 am. Family and friends are invited to gather after the mass for a reception. Interment will be privately held for family at a later date.
Bobby D supported multiple charities that he held close to him. In lieu of flowers please consider making a contribution in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Houston SPCA.
