Robert Lee Byrne Jr.

R.L.B. was a graduate of H.I.S.D. Reagan High School in the Houston Heights. He also attended South Texas Junior College. He working career focused on steel sales of rebar and structural elements for many landmark projects in Houston and the State. His military service was in the U.S. Navy aboard the Aircraft Carrier ‘USS Midway CVA 41’ as an Aviation Boatswain Mate from 1951 to 54. Even though he worked hard supporting his family, he loved his time off with outdoor activities including motorcycle riding around the country, private aircraft flying, boating and camping. He also volunteered extensively serving the needs of his church.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert Lee Byrne and mother Clyde Lucille Kirsch as well as his wife Patricia Inez Loftus. He is survived by his two sons Robert Patrick and David William and their wives. He also has one grandson Briton William. He had many life long friends, including Douglas and Barbara Farrar, Bill and Ruth Reagan, and Bill and Maryann Holman to mention a few.

Visitation for friends and family are planned for September 15, 2022 between 10am and 12pm, with a private graveside ceremony immediately following.
