Robert “Bob” Brown, passed away on the 23rd of January, 2018 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Caroline, his children Robin, Curtis, Tina, Mark, Duncan and Robert, his grandchildren Jessica, Eric, Christie, Kayla, Kelsie, Emily, Isabelle, Hamish, Lara, Sophie and Anna, and his great-grandchildren Adelaide, Everlee and Finn. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter Ginger.
Bob had a distinguished career as a marine pipeline engineer. During his 66-year career, he was known for innovations that made marine pipelining more efficient and much safer.
He was recognised with a number of awards, amongst which the Heritage Award presented at the 1997 Offshore Technology Conference. In 2008 he was inducted into the Offshore Energy Center’s Hall of Fame.
The family will celebrate Bob’s life privately on Saturday, the 27th of January, and express their gratitude to all those who touched him.
