Richard Emil Skog Sr., age 78, was called home on April 19, 2013 in Stafford, TX. He was born on October 9, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY. Richard graduated from Westbury High school in Long Island, NY, class of 1952. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1957. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and the American Legion. Richard served the community of Saint Lucie County, FL as a Reserve Deputy for 24 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Ruth Skog. He is survived by children, Susan Lynn, John Schumann, Deborah Linton, Kristina Sullivan and husband William, Richard Skog Jr. and wife Pamela, Lorretta Peterson, Christian Peterson and wife Tina, David Skog and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Renee Sullivan, Heather Linton, Krystal Sullivan, Ashley Linton, Tiffany Sullivan, Anthony Crespo, Cheyenne Peterson, Tracie Skog, Tabitha Skog, Richard C. Skog and Jayden Skog; great- grandchild, Jason Linton and many cousins. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Forest Park Funeral Home. The service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, Richard requested that donations be made to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, P.O. Box 2000, Boys Ranch, FL 32064.
