August 6th, 2019 after many complications arising from aspiration
Pneumonia.
Born and raised in Houston, he joined the US Air Force as a teenager. His early
years of employment started at 7-11 corp. as a store manager. The next career
move was as an independent distributor for the Houston Chronicle. Finally, he started
a new business, Lawman's Uniform & Equipment Co. that his sons Anthony and Jeff
still run today. Later in life, Richard committed his life to god and served as a singles
teacher at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Additionally, he fulfilled a dream to become
a private pilot.
He leaves his four children: Sons, Richard Sapp Jr., Jefferey Sapp and Anthony Sapp,
daughter, Nicole Sapp.
Visitation services will begin Friday 5-8pm and funeral service will be at 2pm Saturday
