Richard Paul Griffiths

Richard Paul Griffiths, 79, passed away unexpectedly at home Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Memorial services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 15, 2013, at 1:00PM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079, with Father Troy Gately presiding.

Dick proudly served our country in the US Navy. He was retired from United Parcel Service and had a second career of 21 years at Sam's Wholesale Club.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Seeber Griffiths, son Jeffrey Griffiths, daughters Beth Richard and husband Brian, Kelley Alberigo and husband Richard. Grandchildren, Carter Newitt, Katie Griffiths, Cassondra Richard and Camryn Alberigo. Sisters, Eleanor Cmaylo of Sherrill, NY, Hilda Duchene and husband Ralph of Oneida, NY. A very special cousin, Vera Griffiths of Wales, UK, cousins Derrick Walters of Houston, TX and Brian Carter of Scotland, UK. Nephews and nieces, Mark Cmaylo and wife Kathy of Kennebunkport, ME, Jill Atwood and husband Kenny of Verona, NY, Scott Duchene and wife Linda of NH, Evan Duchene and wife Kathy of Sherrill, NY and Randy Duchene and wife Donna of Syracuse, NY.

He was preceded in death by his father John (Jack) Griffiths, mother Josephine Burns Griffiths, brother in law Walter (Pete) Cmaylo and nephew John Cmaylo.
