Not a day goes by I don’t stop and think about you uncle Ricky. Life isn’t the same without you! 

This is the second year in a row I won't have my dad to celebrate Father's Day with and I know sometimes the holiday can be overrated but when you don't have your father here anymore you wish you did so you can buy him some cheesy gift just for the fun I miss you and I wish you were here sometimes

Just saw this. I'm so sad to hear of your passing. Rest in peace Richard. I loved you when we were young.

Not a day passes that you are not in my thoughts Richard.   I love you so much  I visit you in my mind and at your grave site.  Sometimes I have the feeling you are watching over  me.    I will be bringing you flowers today and your mother Mary will be joining you.

Hard to believe its been 4 months since you been gone. I still feel like im gonna  come home and see  you. No matter the time that passes you wont be forgotten.

i miss you Richey and always will. never really thought about life without you in it. yet, here i am without you. say hi to michell for me bro.

richey and i went to carthage to help uncle glen with some carpet repairs, when that was done we decided to go fishing the next morning. off we went to the lake, now mind you: uncle glen was catching heck for going fishing and NOT catching any fish. there we are casting and casting and casting, when all of a sudden uncle glen gets a hit!~ he pulled in a 5-6 pound bass. he put it in a 5 gallon bucket in the middle of the boat. man o man, uncle glen is exstatic!!!!! so richey wants to mess with this fish, hes poking and poking. im telling him to leave it alone, he wont stop poking. to make a long story longer- that bass jumped OUT of the bucket, cleared the boat and was back in the lake!!! oh my gosh, uncle glen did not say 2 words on the ride back home!! he was livid!

Lee, I was so sorry to hear the news about your son. I offer my deepest condolences to your family. May your hearts continue to be filled with all the wonderful memories of the joy Richard brought into your lives.

My prayers are with you in your time of loss.  I will continue to keep your family in my prayers.

My uncle was only 11 years older than me,  at times he was more like an older brother.  Over the years, we shared rooms together, jobs, and a lot of memories.  

One of my earliest memories,  probably my earliest one is of Richard when he was 15 and I was 4.  He had decided to take a trip to the corner store and since he was babysitting me,  he had to take me with him.   His only mode of transportation was my grandfather's moped.   Richard was not allowed to drive the moped so he proposed a deal.   He agreed to buy me a slushy at Circle K  if i agreed to not tell anyone about taking a ride on the moped.  Seeing as how I was 4 and loved sugar, it was a done deal.   When we got to the store I of course wanted the biggest sized slushy Circle K sold.  At 44 oz it probably weighed more than I did.   At first Richard tried to persuade me to get a smaller more reasonable size but in the end he relented and bought his nephew the biggest big gulp they had.   We pulled out of the parking lot, turned the corner, and I immediately spilled the entire slushy all over his back.  ALL over his back.   Anyone who knows Richard knows how animated he can get.  I learned a lot of new words that day.  I felt terrible.  I felt bad for making such a mess.  But,  he wasn't mad at me.   He told me it was ok.   He said it was an accident.  We could clean it up no problem. Everything would be fine.  

I'll never forget my earliest memory of my uncle.  I'll never forget the patience and he showed.   I'll never forget all the good memories I have of him.  The jalapeno pepper eating contests,  the pranks we would play on each other, like turning up the heater in the van during hot summer months while the other wasn't looking.   Or the memory of him hugging and comforting me when my great grandmother passed.  I'll never forget his amazing sense of humor and his smile. I'll never forget my uncle Richard.  My big brother Ricky.

Hello, I want to thank everyone who gathered at my dads celebration of life and everyone who signed his guest book. Some people who are from far distances we appreciate your support. I know my fathers death was upsetting to all because we won't hear his funny jokes,we won't get his opinion on what kind of carpet or tile we should get but he will always be in our hearts and we can confide in our memories to remember him for the mentor that he was to some of us, weather it be helping his nephews, teaching his daughters lessons we will always be thinking of him. In the end if maybe you don't think you had such a great relationship don't beat yourself up about what you could've done, just remember him when he was here and know that he loved and appreciated everyone he had known and come across in his life

Hello, mike here. Richard is my brother, my friend, and in many ways a mentor. He taught me o lot about work, life and love. We laughed alot and enjoyed an array of music together; any thing from New Order to Metallica. I would like to thank everyone who came to the funeral, he was muched loved. I miss my baby bro and believe that he is in a better place.
