Reginald Earl Allison was born on October 7, 1971 to the late Arell and Etta Jones in Houston, Texas. Reginald accepted Christ at a young age, and was baptized at White Rock Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor, Dr. M.A. Thomas.
Reginald attended the North Forest Independent School District throughout grade school. After graduating from Forest Brook High in 1990 he enlisted in the United States Navy. It was there he met and dated Kumbia Lewis; and in 1995 they were married. On October 7, 1998 their union was blessed with the birth of their son, Marte’ Dominique Allison.
Following his military career Reginald joined the Texas Department of Criminal Justice where he moved up in ranks during his 20 plus years of service; most recently serving as a Lieutenant at the Plane State Jail in Dayton, Texas.
Reginald departed this life on Thursday, December 30, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Arell and Etta Jones, his brothers, Brian, Sydney and Carl, and his sisters, Christine, Corletta, and Robin. Reginald’s presence will certainly be missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind: Son, Marte’ Allison; Ex-wife, Kumbia Lewis; longtime friend Paula Oliver; Sisters: Delores (James), Vickie, and Yolanda: Brother: Tera and Brother-in-Law, Clark Shorts. Aunts: Joyce Mae, Irone, Priscilla, Joann, Evelyn Mae, (Johnnie, Sr.) Eula Bea, and Ida Faye; Uncles: Leonce (Beatrice), Vernell (Gwen), Jerry, Alvin, Clarence(Margie): honorary brother, John Kelly (Trina), 7 nieces, 7 nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, Godsons: Odystey and Logan.
A visitation for Reginald will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 12:15 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
