After graduating from Jeff Davis High School, she continued to live and work in the Houston area her entire life.
She was an avid Astros fan. Rebecca always enjoyed sewing and focused on quilting when she retired. She later joined the Coastal Prairie Quilt Guild of Texas where she would serve in several officer positions, including president.
She is preceded in death by both parents, her daughter Jennifer Jo Trevino, brother Richard Martinez, and sister Elizabeth Lazo.
Rebecca is survived by her son Ross Trevino, sister Joanna Martinez, brothers David and Rufus Martinez, nephew Michael Martinez, niece Lauren Lazo (Kyle), their daughter Posey, and many cousins and extended family.
She will be missed for her brilliant mind and kind and generous heart.
A visitation for Rebecca will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
