After growing up in Georgetown,Texas. The family decided to make Houston their home. Mom and dad met during their high school years. Our family life always consists of faith, family, strength and love. Mom always had a passion for traveling. Mom cherished most, the times at the beach surrounded by family and friends. It was a must that all vacations have access to the ocean, a pool or lake and a beautiful beach view was the icing on the cake. Mom often said after getting to travel to various places, the colder weather places were not on the top of her list. Mom found her second home to be the warmer weather places to visit. Some of mom’s favorite places to travel were Carmel, San Diego, Arizona, San Francisco, Hawaii, Spain, New York, and of course Vegas Baby!
Mom made it a point to plan a vacation every year where all the family and friends were able to spend a week at the beach. In her younger days, mom and dad were part of the Latin bowlers league. Mom became a very good bowler and won a few tournaments. Mom loved beating the men bowlers in the league. Mom’s pastimes included watching golf and football. Mom was a faithful Texans fan and enjoyed tailgating and all Texans game days. Mom loved all kinds of music and really enjoyed going to the rodeo. Mom’s favorite was of course “ George Strait “. Mom went to see Elvis at the Astrodome. Luis Miguel was another one of mom’s main men. Mom and dad often took us to various events which included live music and dancing. Mom had some favorites which included tweety bird, Betty Boop, favorite meal was grilled jumbo shrimp with melted butter. Playing scrabble at the beach homes on vacation and spending time with her grandchildren and god children was an enjoyable pastime for mom. Mom was selfless, always thoughtful of others, always had a welcoming hug, and a contagious laugh. Mom had fun and we had fun with mom! To each one of us she was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, godmother, grandmother and friend. Heaven gained another humble, caring angel. We love you mom! Rest In Peace.
