Rebecca T. Lopez

Rebecca T. Lopez passed away on February 10, 2012 at her home in Houston, Texas. She was born on October 11, 1960 to Benito Moreno Tober and Rachel Loera in Corpus Christi Texas. Rebecca attended Milby High School, and went on to hold several different jobs, with the most recent being the administrative assistant at Hugh Landrum & Associates. At home, Rebecca was an exemplary cook who was never afraid to take on new recipes. She constantly impressed her family with her kitchen creations. One of her favorite things to do was spending time in the kitchen baking with her granddaughters. She was also naturally gifted in technology, always being able to figure out the latest gadgets and programs. She was a loving wife to her husband of 26 years, Ralph Baltazar Lopez, sticking by his side and caring for him through sickness and in health.

Rebecca is survived by her husband; her children, Jaime Cruz Torres of Houston, Jeanette Marie Torres of Corpus Christi, Jessica Ann Lopez of Houston, and Frank Adam Lopez of Houston; Granddaughters, Gloria Dominque Torres, Jaime Elizabeth Torres, Hailey Elyse Gonzales, Lydia Levana Lopez, and Kristin Alliana Torres; siblings, Frank Tober, Thelma Torres, Nelda Cantu, Arthur Tober, and Elida Tovar; and a host of many loving family members and friends.

Visitation for Rebecca Lopez will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heights Funeral Home in Houston, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Forest Park Westheimer in Houston, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Oscar Edward Lopez, Alfonso Tovar Jr., Frank Adam Lopez, Arthur Tober, Jaime Cruz Torres, and Isaias Gonzales.
