Our grandfather was the Patriarch of the Garcia family. As his eldest grandson and heir to the family name, it is my duty to carry on his legacy.
 Grandpa Raymond was an honorable man. Though our relationship wasn’t as intimate as his other grandchildren, he knew to focus his attention on where it was needed most. In other words, his values were passed on to his only son, which were passed down to me. He knew we had his strength and discipline coursing through our veins, so I would say his morals and pride live on, through us.
 The last conversation we had were Orders - “Take care of everybody. You and your Dad are the men of the family now.” I intend to carry out his wishes, to the best of my ability. I pray that his soul rests in peace and that he is finally in his rightful Home, alongside our beloved Grandmother. Until we meet again, Popo.

had you longer .As my heart bleeds in pain and tears Fall with every word I type know this is only a temporary Goodbye and one day we will be reunited. What makes my heart hurt less is knowing that you are no longer in pain and you are with grandma and Tia and I know y’all are dancing in the sky watching Over us. With every butterfly I see , I know it’s you visiting saying hello . With every wind that blows , I know it’s you Whispering ,I love you in my hear . With every Warm feeling on my cheek after a teardrop I know it’s you wiping away my tear telling me don’t cry for now i am in a better place .  Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you. You were One of My first best friends at birth along with Grandma Lisa . We all 3 were inseparable From the moment I Was born , we did everything together and went everywhere together , even though I always made you ride in the backseat :) every memory I have of us is so vivid as if it was all just yesterday.. You treated me as your Daughter since day one  and have loved me just as one also . you have taught me the real definition Of unconditional love as a grandfather .Thank you for being the father I Needed and always wanted. Thank you for Supporting me In everything I did and wanted to do . Thank you for Motivating me when I felt I like I couldn’t do it anymore .Most Of All Popo, Thank You for never giving up on me and always Telling me ,”I’m Proud of You Mija” .Even when I felt it wasn’t enough you made me feel like I Conquered the world .thank you for giving me the strength and the courage to stand on my own 2 feet and Go hard for what I want .

I knew this day would be hard but never knew my heart would suffer such a sharp pain of grief. You took a piece of my heart with you but it went willingly. To reflect on my life as a daughter to you, gives me such pride. The hard belly laughs in our car rides & all the good times are at the front of my happy memories of you. To have you as a loving father in my life has helped me to understand, not only myself, but your gentle heart as well. A heart so protected by the tuff exterior of a Superhero-Dad, highly decorated USMC Vet., & example of honor, courage & respect. Yet, as I grew to know the man I call DAD, he had a loving heart&soul not too many knew & came out only to the few he trusted. You puposed a life for the FAMILY you dreamed of. Even having to do it with a 2nd & 3rd wind, after losing mom & Sandra. You taught us to always stick together. Nothing got in the way of our family, not even ourselves! You taught me how to war in the Spirit with your Soldierlike bravery displayed before my eyes that gave me the raging Spirit to stand up against any spirit of darkness. Seeing how God always protected you thru your dark valleys is living proof of your personal relationship with Jesus. As God prepared your welcome home, He made Himself so visible to us. I have a lifetime of memories with you but there were moments when we didn't realize your final hour was around the corner. You took the time for us, gathered us for Bdays, prayed with us & held firm your role as "Popo". So rest in Eternal Peace Dad, knowing you bowed out in perfect Popo style. We promise to instill in us your morals, values & hopes for a better future. All this time, we were working so hard to make you proud but in reality it was the other way around. It's incredible how love works & is everlasting. Our Father's Love is everlasting, faithful & true! It is One in the same and such a revelation to life itself. I love you dad and remember "It ain't nothing but a thang" until I see you again.♡Usomuch!

My Grandfather was a strong, courageous, fearless, loving, and loyal man. He always taught me what family was all about. He told my cousins and I to always stick together and that family comes first. He also taught me how to defend myself and to not let anyone step over me. I couldn't have asked for a better Grandpa. I can still hear and see your contagious laugh and smile. It seems like yesterday when you were at my graduation. When I saw you come around that corner, I could see the proudness on your face and that meant everything to me. When I gave you that first hug I could feel your love. You were always there for all of our accomplishments and would never let us down. Your wise words will always be in my heart and I'll carry them with me everywhere I go. I promise I'll make you proud and will work hard every day to make sure one day I can give back to our family, especially mama. I know you taught her many things as well and she was able to carry those things to me, for example; having strong values and morals, being independent, being strong, and never let anything or anyone get in our way from accomplishing our goals. I know you're in Heaven with Grandma Lisa, Tia Sandra, and all your friends and other family. God has gained another strong soldier in his kingdom and one day we'll see each other again. Although it it was nearly a month ago it still feels as if it was just yesterday that you were gone it felt like a part of me left with you , although i was your grandson you treated me like i was of your own children and i loved that about you, you always showed me the difference between right and wrong and how to treat people with respect and i will always remember all of the valuable lessons you taught me and Xaiver about how to be a man and how to take care of myself and my family and how be there for your family no matter what you always told me “family comes first no matter what happens you stick together that is your own blood so you stick together “ ,  You would’ve done anything for any of us and we all would've done the same , You were and are truly my role model I never told you that although I wish I had , you are truly the man i want to grow in to . There were so many thing i wanna say to you, but I know you’re in a better place with peace and love and no pain and no more suffering there are so many memories with you that will always be in my mind and in my heart your laugh was so contagious it would make the whole table laugh and i will never forget it will always be with me god gained an angel, a great soul , a great man , and just overall a great person just as we all remembered you and we always will remember you as . I know you’re laughing and smiling up in your true home with Tia Sandra and Grandma Lisa many other of our loved and missed ones. the two you talked about the most although I never met Grandma Lisa the way you talked about her makes me wish I did . And we had countless and unforgettable memories and i won’t ever forget them it hurts to see you leave but it makes me feel better to know your at peace you are my grandpa, my role model, my mentor and i am proud to call you all of those and now i can call you my guardian angel you will always have a place in my heart until we met again

I didnt think it would be so soon till where i felt like i lost a big piece to my family till now. Grandpa you were a huge part of me and of our family, you were who completed it and who brought all your characteristics to everyone around you, a man of your word, who fought hard for your country, and went through tough obstacles in your life. You showed me what a man is and what he has to not only show but to be about. When i looked at you i saw loyalty and selfless. You are what showed me and Adrian how to act and how to treat our kids when we get older and how to get through obstacles in our life and fight through anything that comes in our way. You are who i want to be when i get older. Words can’t explain how hurt i was when i found out you were gone but i know what you would want all of us to do and that is to get through it. I know you are with Tia Sandra and Grandma Lisa looking over all of us and that is what will keep me going.

Dad "ANOTHER GUARDIAN ANGEL WATCHING OVER US!"

 Today a piece of my heart was taken and everyday without you will be so hard,but me knowing that you are reunited with Mom, Sandra and many other FAMILY AND FRIENDS you missed dearly comforts me and gives me Peace. I don't think No matter how prepared I thought I was..I was'nt ! Trying to come up with the words and things that we could say that would comfort YOU without me thinking it would be the last thing I say to you. But Gods timing was all so perfect. GOD AND YOU knew when I said ...okay Dad I'm leaving, I'm gonna see you later  I LOVED YOU Gets some rest and be Good. You opened your eyes just a little bit and with a small smile and a Nod yes,(saying okay).that would be my GOOD BYE TO YOU. 

You still trying to be so STRONG and PROTECTING US, but that was just one of the many things you taught us.
Your tears ,smiles,laughs and your voice will be one of the many things that I will try to keep close to my heart.  You were such an honorable,Strong,patient,smart,courageous,proud,good looking,sharp dressed,and loyal to your family and  friends, all these qualities AND CHARACTERISTICS are instilled in myself, Monica,and Anthony down to your grand children. 
We see so much of YOU in US! We will forever have the Garcia blood running through our hearts that will keep us TOGETHER AND KEEP YOUR MEMORY AND SPIRIT ALIVE.

To all my family & yes there is a lot of us fun, loving, committed as well as crazy but in a good way. My sisters, mothers, fathers, brothers cannot express how proud we are of our second generation during this difficult time.
