Raymond Esquivel Castillo

Raymond Esquivel Castillo, 91,of Houston Texas, went to heaven on March 3rd 2015. He was born on August 31, 1921 in Cameron, Texas to Pete and Raquel Castillo. He was a proud Veteran of World War II. After serving his country he married Virginia Miranda on July 3rd, 1948 and they were married for 65 years.

Raymond was retired for many years and enjoyed going fishing and frequent visits to the casinos, and spending time with friends, family and especially his grandchildren. He was a loving and one of a kind man! He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia and daughter Petra Castillo and grand daughter Laurie Marie Castillo, grandson, Brandon Hargrove, and one brother and two sisters, Floyd Castillo, Carolina Leon, Petra ( Josephine) Ybarra. Raymond is survived by his six children, Raymond Castillo and wife Mercie ,Roland Castillo, Gloria Hargrove and husband Bill, Rudy Castillo and wife Lisa, Robert John Castillo and David Castillo. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Ricky Castillo, Jo Ellen Castillo Stratton, Angie Lopez, Tina Deshotel, Jason Castillo, Justin Castillo, Michael Castillo, Aaron Castillo, Jordan Castillo, Christopher Reinauer, Emily Sload, William Hargrove III, and Valerie Jean Hargrove. Raymond is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren, Andrea, Melina, Mirae, Natalie, Devon, Hanna, David, Justin, Kaiden, Peitynn, Kylee, Chris, Aaliyah, Cash, Abel, twins Mikayla and Kianna, Matthew, and Kyle. Two great-great grandchildren Abygail and Roslyn.

Visitation will be held Tuesday March 10th from 6 to 8 pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, 281-445-0050. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 11th at 10 am at American Heritage and the burial at Houston National Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest at 11 am.
