Rachel left behind her daughter Myra Viragdamo (Marc Virgadamo), her son Aaron Rene Vasquez; her sister Tavita L. Casas (Jimmy Casas), sister Orfa Limon, brother Ruben Limon, and her brother Dario Limon; only granddaughter Marissa Virgadamo.
Rachel was preceded in death by her spouse Armando Vasquez; her father Lazaro Limon, and her mother Paz Limon; her sister Rebecca L. Martinez and her brother Lazaro Limon Jr.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. At the age of 16, she began her first job at the candy factory with her sister Tavita. After her first child, Myra was born she stopped working at Borden where she had been for 13 years to be a full-time mother. Rachel loved to be outdoors, caring for her plants and all the wild birds. She also loved to cook for the family and was always making something delicious for the family parties. Her wild personality and free spirit was like no other; spreading love and laughter everywhere she would go. She touched so many lives with her generosity. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A funeral service for Rachel will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
