Petra Garza Palacios, born January 18, 1936, passed away at the age of 80 in Houston, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Leonzo Palacios Sr., Parents, Guadalupe Garza and Petra Garza, 4 siblings; Florentino Garza, Catalina Rendon, Refugia Gutierrez, and Renulfo Garza, and 3 nephews; Domingo, Johnny, and Jesus Rendon. She left behind many loved ones to cherish her memory including her 2 children; Leonzo Palacios Jr. and Juanita “Patricia” Ponce De Leon (with husband George), her grandchild, Aizik, granddog Apollo, and many more family members, compadres, and friends. Petra will be remembered as an avid hot coffee drinker and as a woman who loved to tend to her garden and plants. She entertained herself with actioned packed movies, Blue Bloods on Friday nights, and Dancing with the Stars on Monday nights. She found enjoyment in dancing to polkas, cumbias, and huapangos. Petra left behind these memories and more. She will be dearly missed by those whose lives she’s touched in her 80 years on this earth.
