Perla R. Montemayor

PERLA R. MONTEMAYOR, born in Sabinas Hidalgo, N.L. Mexico, November 11, 1947, passed away June 19, 2010 peacefully at home with her children and family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 27 years Oscar D. Montemayor.

She is survived by her seven loving children Sylvia, Laura and husband Cesar, Pearl and husband Carlos, Oscar Jr. and wife Monica, Nancy and husband Steven, Vicky, Ruby and husband Brian, grandchildren Christina and husband William, Christian, Manuel, Nadia, Valerie, Rigoberto, Jacquelyn, Emily, Steven Jr., Adam, Olivia and Anthony. Perla is a long time resident of Houston. She enjoyed spending time with her seven children, grandchildren and family. Perla loved her family and friends very much and lived life to its fullest. The Visitation will be on Monday June 21 from 4pm to 9pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Tuesday June 22 from 8am to 9pm with Rosary at 7:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday June 23 at 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman St, Houston, TX 77018, with interment immediately following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed on her behalf to Memorial Hermann Foundation in Houston, TX.
