Peggy was born to Ruth and Allison Peters on May 19, 1937, in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Reagan High School and the University of Texas at Austin. Growing up in Garden Oaks, Peggy began her lifelong practice of active membership in organized groups as part of the Reagan Red Coats Drum & Bugle Corp and Girl Scouts. She was proud to be a Houstonian and after marrying, she raised her family in Houston. She spoke often of those years when they were busy with three boys involved in sports and music and spent weekends at Lake Livingston with her parents.
In her later years, Peggy kept a full calendar with family, friends, and volunteering. She was intentional about spending time with her family and especially her 6 grandchildren--visiting museums, the zoo, libraries, and the swimming pool. She would shop for just the right book or gift for them. As an active member of the Houston Junior Forum, she especially liked volunteering at the resale shop and supporting events. During the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo season, you would find Peggy spending several days a week volunteering as a member of the Swine and Special Children’s Committees--her energy and commitment continued late into her 70s. On Sundays, she would get up early for her Second Baptist Sunday School class, usually taking a breakfast dish with her as she hurried out the door…probably running a minute or two late.
Peggy will lovingly be remembered for always wanting to help with a meal, give a gift, and be with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Allison Peters, and little brother Tommy. She will be missed by son, David Moseley, Jr. and wife Missy of Houston; son, Robby Moseley and wife Jennifer of Houston; son, Ric Moseley and wife Amy of Dallas; six grandchildren: Kate, Maggie, Trent, Matthew, Allison and Erin Moseley; niece Jeri Bluth, and nephew Mark Peters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Mission of Yahweh in Houston.
