Paula Jean Collier
Born February 28, 1957 to parents John Allen Collier and
Mary Cecilia Adams Collier.
She was the youngest of 4 children Mable, John, Cheryle, and Paula.
Paula was preceded in death by both of her parents and her oldest sister
Mable Cecilia Collier Callaway, and son Sammy Lynn Callaway II.
She is survived by her sister Cheryle Lynn Barrett, and brother,
John Eugene Collier and wife Cathryn Elizabeth Collier,
along with nieces Stacey Callaway Brown and her husband Steven Brown,
Lori Collier Chavez and husband Eric Chavez,
and Tiffani Childs UiCiarraide.
Her nephews were John Erik Collier and wife Christina Collier,
Matthew Childs and wife Samantha, and many numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Although Paula was never married nor did she have any children
she had two god daughters Allison and Amanda Quezada,
whom she loved very much, and accepted them as her own.
She also had many other extended family, that called her Aunt Paula, and
lifelong friends Alice Quezada, Anita deLeon, Connie McLeod, and
Janie Ramirez that regarded her as their sister.
The best word that I could find that best defines Paula is "Benevolence",
meaning "Desire to do good for others; goodwill; and charitableness"
That was Paula.
If anybody needed help, she was always there. Whether it was making hot dogs, or tamales
for the church, or helping with arrangements for a wedding or baby shower.
Paula was always there, to help.
Paula's work ethic was second to none. She never took a sick day, even when she was sick.
No work, was ever too hard for her. She worked as a carpet layers helper, for her brother for several years.
She loved working in her yard mowing, trimming trees, weed eating, and cleaning.
Paula's favorite time of year was Fall, and the holidays. She always decorated the outside of the house,
for Halloween, Christmas, and New Years. When she was in her last days of life. all she talked about was Halloween,
and how God was going to take her home to Heaven, but he was going to let her come back for Halloween.
We can only imagine what she will return as.
Paula's passing has left a hole in everyone's heart, and will be sorely missed.
We love you Paula, Rest In Peace.
