We lost a wonderful man of God here on Earth but what a warm welcome home that he must have received in Heaven.  My growing-up years are full of memories of Bro. & Sis. Owens (Jimmy & Dorothy) and daughter Carol.  My dad called on Jimmy whenever he had a car problem, which I thought was much too often.  But Jimmy was always willing to put aside whatever he had going on to help him.  Not only were Jimmy & Dorothy unselfish leaders in our church, but their lives will always be a shining example of God's wish for all of us.  They will remain in my memory as long as I live.  Dorothy & Carol, I know you miss him so much.  I pray that God will give you comfort and strength.  I always have and always will love you.

Jimmy was always an inspiration for to me and always gave fatherly instruction. He will be missed. Memory is a special place in our hearts where we can find comfort in the treasured thoughts of those we hold dear. May it help to know that others care deeply and are remembering you with special thoughts and prayers. My Deepest Sympathy

What a wonderful man of God Bro. Owens was.  You will be missed.  What a great reunion we will all have one day soon!  Pray for strength and peace for you Sister Owens!  We love you!

Jimmy Owens was a "stand-up" man, forthright and honest in all respects.  He was helpful and was always a wonderful teacher to all of us in the gas compressor business. The knowledge that he imparted made good employees, mechanics, business owners, and supervisors out of us.  The compressor world will miss Jimmy,  but, even more so, the world will miss him.  He was a good Christian, and we are all sure where Jimmy is now!

When you saw only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you.No more sickness or pain.Keep looking up.Remembering the good times.

I spent a lot of time in the home of Bro. and Sis. Owens when I was a young girl. They have been good friends of my mother for many years. Bro. Owens has finished his course, kept his faith, and now received his crown. Love you, Sis. Owens and Carol. I will keep you in my prayers.

Jimmy Owens was one of the most fair and honest people I know.  I started working at GCI when I was 19 years old and he was one of the best bosses I have ever had.  I still tell people today that he is the only person I know who could overhaul an engine over the phone.  He will truly be missed.

You will be greatly missed by all ov us.  Your care and concern, prayers, and advice during the recent loss of my dad, Bobby Selcer, was the support and love we needed.  I know you are very happy now seeing Grannie and Papa.
