Olive A. Hines age 90, went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2022. She was born February 14, 1932, in Kaplan Louisiana to Wiley and Emily Abshire. Olive worked as a butcher prior to retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Emily Abshire, husband Lawrence (Bee), brother Joseph and sisters Laura, Inez, Hilda and Lula. She is survived by her four children, Judy McLean and husband Marcel, Cleveland Hines, Susan Holcomb and husband Randy, Tommy Hines and wife Debbie; eight grandchildren, Emily Thompson, Camilla Paige, Olivia Nowacki, Cory Hines, Eric Holcomb, Gayle Barnes, Samantha Martin, Millyssa Rinehart; eight great-grandchildren Tiffany Thompson, Karlie Paige, Kassidy Paige, Mara Nowacki, Eli Nowacki, Hailey Martin, Asher Martin, Aiden Rinehart and brother L. J. Abshire and sister Lola Verret.
The Family will receive friends for visitation, Friday, March 18, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary service will occur Friday, March 18, 2022, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will occur Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039 followed by a burial at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Cleveland Hines, Tommy Hines, Randy Holcomb, Cory Hines, Eric Holcomb, and Marcel Mc Lean.
