My mother raised 5 kids, and while she was raising us, I remember she managed to find the time to teach me: how to read, how to tell time, how to sew, how to bake, how to drive and the list goes on.  

I've always attributed my work ethic to my father, but anyone who knows my mother know that she was a hard worker; I have to say that I was surely influenced by them both.

A while before she left us, she started a new practice; calling me Sundays as she drove home from church.  I made sure to answer each one of those calls no matter what I was doing; I'm so glad that I did.  She was dedicated to her children at work, to her children and her grandchildren.  She loved us and there wasn't a thing any of us could have said or done to change that.  

Our lives will never be the same without you.  I love you mom.

Thank you for being an amazing mom and grandma to your kids. They were blessed to spend so much time with you living in the same house. Emma will always love and cherish her abuela.  I will miss watching the five with you on replay and our talks about the Bible. Your faith inspired us to love like Jesus and we look forward to seeing you again.  

Mama, it’s only been a few days…but I feel so lost without you. I know without a doubt, you are in heaven, and because of that I do have peace. However, it doesn’t change the fact that you left a huge hole in my heart. If I’m being honest, when you died, a piece of me died along with you.  No matter how old I get…I will always need you Mama. I want to thank you for loving us and always giving us the “best” of you. Thank you for always praying over us and for teaching us about how important it is  for us to have a relationship with Christ. Thank you for living a life that reflected your love for Jesus. Thank you for being a wonderful grandmother, mother, sister,  and friend. I am thankful that God chose you to be our mother. He knew you were exactly what we needed in our lives. Thank you for loving Rick and Bella as much as you love me. Thank you for always taking care of us in such a way that only a mama could. We miss everything about you…your love, your kisses, your hugs, your smile, your prayers…I could go on and on.  We  are truly thankful to God that he gave us you. You are  my proof that GOD is GOOD! Thank you for giving us a lifetime of Love and Memories.  When I feel overwhelmed with sadness, I promise to find rest in knowing that I will see you again one day, when God calls me home! Until then… enjoy your Eternal life with Jesus, Dad, and Randy! We love you forever. Mama!

I love you so much but we are grandchildren. You are so taking care with me for a long time. I remember you have taught me about love. I always wanted to be my relationships that you put my own heart. I believe you very much with all this time for that. It makes me so blessed. You know why? You are remarkable woman. You are wonderful combination of warmth and kindness, laughter and love.

Mom, yesterday we placed you right next to Dad as we said our final earthly goodbyes. This morning, I woke up and was overcome by an emptiness and sadness. These past two months have been unexpected and eye opening. I never imagined losing our brother, Randy, nor losing you. However, I’ve come to certain realizations. You have always been a beautiful soul to me, mom. I just never knew how far your kindness, love and compassion reached. Turns out you have touched so many lives just by being you. You have loved, you have given of yourself, you have prayed for strangers, you have loved and cared for your students, you have offered kind and soothing words of encouragement, you have raised your kids and your grandchildren, you have ALWAYS been there for me when I needed you, you have exemplified selflessness and patience, you have never been ashamed to share the Gospel and testify to God’s endless goodness, and you have loved your family without measure. I don’t know that I will ever live up to the legacy you’ve left behind- but I promise to strive to do so. Thank you, mom, for your love. I will remember you single day… and even though my heart aches with sadness, I will also remember how you saw God’s goodness in every circumstance. I will not take one day for granted. I will carry on the charge you once had- I will pray over my children, that they will follow Christ as you have, so they will one day join you in Heaven when God calls them home.

  I will miss our phone calls every morning on the way to work. I will miss seeing you walk from your truck to the church doors. I will miss having lunch together every Sunday after church. I will miss our long talks about politics. I will miss taking you to Corpus Christi to see family. I will miss doing things for you! You were my beautiful Momma! You were a great wife! I was so blessed to have Olga as a mother in law. I have so many memories with her. I remember playing toma todo and her always winning!! I remember when she lived with us and the Astros won we would go to Academy at 12:00am just to get championship shirts. I remember going on vacation and we would all squeeze in the car all together just to go in one car! Then the kids grew and we needed two cars. All those are wonderful memories, but the most precious memories I have are of the love she had for her family. I saw her with her son Abraham (my husband) and saw so much love between them. When she needed something she would call him. Even though he would complain about what she needed he would gladly do it for her. Her compassion and love for others was a blessing to have witnessed first hand. We love you and will miss you dearly Mom!!

Mrs. DeLeon was one of the nicest people I met at Alief Taylor High School. She always had a kind word to say about everything. She knew how to look at the brighter side of every bad situation. God gained an amazing Angel. She will be missed , but her spirit will forever be attached to the halls of Taylor. RIP Mrs. DeLeon

My condolences to the family. Ms. DeLeon you will truly truly be missed. Not being able to see you early in the mornings waiting to clock in is gonna be hard but I know you are looking down on us. Our department will not be the same without you. #RIP Ms.Deleon gone but NOT forgotten.

I remember Ms. Olga with a beautiful smile always.  I would always see her working with students and having such a wonderful attitude.  I used to work with her at ALC.  So, we have a long history together.  I enjoyed always visiting with her.  She was very pleasant to speak with.  She will be missed, but always remembered.

I've always seen Ms. De Leon in the hallways with her students. She's so caring and friendly with a smile on her face. When I got the call you had passed I was so angry at God. I couldn’t understand why God would take you from us.
Then I remembered all the talks we have had over the years and how much you loved him.
Then I became jealous of him because he gets the opportunity to spend eternity with you. Most of our eyes are filled with tears. But now I’m filled with joy, knowing that you are at peace and no more pain. I love you my friend and I already miss you.

"Closed her eyes here, opened them in Heaven..."  Dear Olga always had a smile on her face - a smile of love, trust, faith in God- everything her life displayed. My sincerest condolences to her beloved family,  Alicia Alarcon


Olga and I attended the same church, and we usually sat next to each other.  It was definitely uplifting to worship with her and talk to her.  She was an example of a victorious child of God.  She had overcome so many trials, and yet, she was stronger in faith than most of us.  Many Sundays after church my husband and I joined Olga and her family for lunch.  That was what we did the last time I saw her.  We know where she is--in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She left all of us an example of what faith, love, and commitment look like.  May God comfort the family!  

The last memory with Ms. DeLeon was the sweetest. She had come into the clinic to say thank you  for helping her a week earlier. We talked about her son Randy and she gave a testimonial section.  her faith she was a very strong woman of faith in God.  I know God sent her into the clinic  that morning because I had been up most of the night crying because of the Uvalde deaths. She brought such peace, love and encouragement to me.  I thanked her and gave her a big hug. I'll alway hold that memory of her in my heart. Love you. 

Mrs. De Leon will definitely be missed! We met many years ago at Alief Taylor, and she never changed. Mrs. De Leon was a servant of God, a kind soul, a source of encouragement,  and my fellow August birthday friend. I will miss her sweet and friendly spirit while passing in the hallways.  May God bless and keep the family as you maneuver through this difficult time. You are all in my prayers. 🕊

Mrs. Olga De Leon was and is an apple of God’s loving eyes!!! She so lovingly shared her Christian Spirit with me every time that I saw her in the hallways of Alief Taylor HS; she was always so easy to hug and laugh with while just a hand hold with her would bless my rough day sometimes. She had Jesus written all over her sweet, precious face and you never saw her unhappy or disgruntled about working with her precious Special Needs students. She loved them and they loved her!!! You couldn’t find a better woman to be Mrs. Olga DeLeon. Trust me, I will miss her face, hands, warmth, smile and Christian Spirit every day. There were many days that I was not blessed to see her , but when we would see each other it was like old , Christian friend. I know she is Heaven with the other sweet saints that I have been blessed to love and know including , my father, Mr. Ralph Tuck.
