Noemi H Medina

Noemi H. Medina, 74 of Houston, Texas passed away on July 26, 2014. She was born on January 25, 1940 in Austin, Texas where she lived until her move to Houston in 1981. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and attended the University of Texas. Noemi worked for the U.S. government for 39 years for the IRS, Social Security and ultimately the Veterans Administration. She was also a longtime member of LULAC. She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Julia Hernandez and her brother Ray Hernandez JR. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Rudy Medina; daughters Rachael Casarez and Cindy Villarreal-Hughes and husband Mason Hughes; son Guadalupe Villarreal; step daughter Suzan Medina; grandchildren Kimberly Casarez, Richard Casarez, Laurel Hughes, Bianca Villarreal, Heather Hughes, Holly Hughes, John Hughes and Gabrielle Villarreal; one great grandson Tyler Casarez; sisters Orfalinda Mojica and husband Frank and Elizabeth Hernandez, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other friends and family members. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30 from 5-9 PM with a rosary at 7 PM and funeral service will take place at 10 AM on Thursday, July 31. All services will take place in the Main Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale.
