Ninfa Estela Garza, 88, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, in Houston, TX. She was born May 28, 1928, in San Antonio, TX, to Arturo and Maria Covarrubias. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julia A. Garza and husband, Julio P. Garza. Ninfa is survived by her children, Maria Lozano and husband Jesus, Ninfa Montez, Diane Weekly and husband Kip, Alice P. Sibert and husband Claud; grandchildren, Jacob Montez, Nicholas Montez, Elizabeth Rosenbaum, Aaron Montes, Jesus Lozano, Julieanne Lozano; 5 great grandchildren; her siblings, Ruth Gardoni, Narda Covarrubias, and Elena Feres, Carlos Covarrubias and wife Noemi. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5-9 PM with a 7 PM service at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 10 AM at Forest Park Lawndale. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
