Nieves Rodriguez Fernandez

Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. Nieves Fernandez passed into Gods hands from natural causes at the age of 87 on March 20, 2013. Nieves was a dedicated mother to her children and grandchildren alike. She was an endless source of love and inspiration to her great grandchildren and all that knew her. Nieves was born on August 5, 1925. She was born at her parents home in Houston, Texas. She was 1 of 6 children born to Jose and Juanita Rodriguez. Nieves attended Marshall Middle School and Davis High School. She went on to attend college at U of H where she earned a certificate as a Teachers Aide. Nieves worked tirelessly into her mid 70's a true example of a hard working woman.She was truly a Golden person.

Nieves is survived by her Beloved Brothers Ray Rodriguez , Joe Rodriguez, and Carlos Rodriguez and numerous nephews and neices. Her Beloved Daughter Helen Rodriguez, Beloved Son George Fernandez and Beloved daughter in law Velia. Her Beloved Grandchildren Anthony Rodriguez & wife Christina, Carol Garibay and her husband Alex, Jose Fernandez, Gina Correa and husband Jacob, Robert Fernandez Jr., Vincent Fernandez, Isaac Fernandez and wife Fabiola, Erik Fernandez and wife Pam, Christopher Fernandez and wife Marina. Grand daughter in law Angelica Rosales.Her Beloved Great Grandchildren Jeremy Rodriguez, Angelina Rodriguez, Ariana Garibay, Alyssa Garibay, Ava Garibay, Alexa Garibay, Alexandra Correa, Miranda Fernandez, Lena Fernandez, Alexus Fernandez, Steven Anthony Nava, Gabriel Robert Fernandez, Michelle Fernandez, Matthew Ryan Fernandez, Emily Elizabeth Fernandez, Jonathan Rene Fernandez, Erik Fernandez Jr., Robert Fernandez, Dominik Fernandez, Patrik Fernandez, Logan Fernandez, Ian Fernandez Jr., Wilson Fernandez, Eternity Franco, Christina Franco, Marahya Franco, and Meah Franco. Her Beloved Great Great Grandson Jordan Rene Fernandez.

She was preceded in death by her Beloved Great Grandson Jonathan Flemate Rodriguez, her Beloved Grandson Ian "Bud" Fernandez, Beloved Son in law Emilio Rodriguez Jr., Beloved Son Robert Fernandez, Beloved Father of Her children and Ex Husband Pete Fernandez.

Friends and Family may visit on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 3:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors located at 8303 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77024. The funeral service will also be held at the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors on Monday, March 25, 2013 promptly at 11:00 a.m. Following the funeral service we will be escorted to Forest Park Lawndale located at 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, Texas 77023 for the burial. Immediately after the burial we will proceed to Holy Name Catholic Church Hall located at 1917 Cochran Houston,Texas 77009.
