Born in Pharr, Texas to Nicolas Casares and Sara Isassi Casares.

His parents, all 12 of his brothers and sisters, his wife of 53 years, Belia Zepeda Casares, daughter, Hilda Casares, and infant son Joshua Casares.
He is survived by:
Daughters - Sarah Casares DeLaRosa, M. Rebeca Casares, Rose Khan, and Loida Casares.
Grandchildren - Rezwan Khan
(Gwen Barker), Hannah Hornung (John Hornung) Dylan Casares, Miranda Ruiz, and Seth Ruiz.
Great grandchildren- KinDread Skylar, Nicholas Hornung.
Many nieces and nephews.
He studied and received his barber’s license through the GI bill and owned his barbershop business for years until he worked at the City of Houston, retiring in 1986.
He was a very loving dear father, husband, brother, uncle and friend. Always concerned and interested in his children. He always spoke fondly and proudly of his daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Most importantly to him was his religious belief as a Jehovah’s Witness. He became an active Jehovah’s Witness in 1947 and was baptized in 1950. He was one of the pioneers to begin a Kingdom Hall in McAllen,Texas. He went on to lead a very active life studying and teaching others about God’s kingdom “on earth as it is in heaven”. He travelled to Jehovah’s Witness conventions since the 1940s. He attended Bonita Gardens Spanish congregation where he served as an Elder for many years. He was known by many because he presented literature and Watchtower and Awake magazines door-to-door and at business locations helping many others to learn about Jehovah God and his promises to mankind as explained in the Bible.
He leaves behind a very large family of spiritual brothers and sisters who love him and admire his undying loyal love for his God and faith.
