My Bao Nguyen was called home by the Lord in Houston, Texas on March 13, 2023 at the age of 58. Visitation will be Wednesday March 22 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM inside the Grand Chapel at Garden Oaks Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on March 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM.

My Nguyen was born on August 11, 1964 in Saigon, Vietnam. After the Vietnam War, in 1983 at the age of 19, she immigrated to the United States. She landed in Houston, Texas and was picked up by her older brother Nhat and the help of his friend Liem, not knowing that later on this would be her future husband. With hopes and dreams of starting a better life in America, My Nguyen took ESL classes while working multiple jobs, including at a bookstore and family friend’s restaurant in order to pay for her college education. In May of 1989, My Nguyen took her vows with Liem Le in Holy Matrimony at Notre Dame Catholic Church. A year later, My received her college degree in 1990 and was employed by RICOH USA as a Billing Specialist in their Accounting Department. In February 1991, God blessed My & Liem with their precious twin sons, Thomas & Dennis Le. After 30 years of loyal service to Ricoh, she retired at the age of 51.

Throughout her life, My enjoyed volunteering at Church, traveling with family & friends, gardening, trips to the beach, and camping. One of her greatest joys was cooking for her family.

My will forever be remembered for her Faith, selflessness, generosity, resilience, and love for her family and friends. She dedicated her entire life to her beloved sons & husband as well as serving the Lord through charitable work for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

My is survived by her husband Liem Van Le, sons Thomas Tuan Le and Dennis Huan Le, and daughter-in-laws, Mary DeForke Le and Britney Thao Nguyen; her mother Linh Thuy Nguyen, her siblings; Anh Bao Nguyen (brother), Nga Bao Nguyen (sister), Nhat Bao Nguyen (brother), & Hoa Lan Bao Nguyen (sister). Preceded in death by her father Thuy Bao Nguyen and brother Duc Bao Nguyen.
