Newell Dee Anderson

Newell was born in Tomball, Texas; and grew up there; also attending school in Rosenberg and Conroe. He married Minnie Simmons Anderson in 1938. They were married for 70 years. She preceded him in death in 2008.

Newell worked for Stanolind, (Standard Oil of Indiana), / American Oil Co. / British Petroleum for 33 years. He took early retirement in 1963, and had been retired for almost 50 years. During that time he dabbled in real estate, and owned considerable property in the Montrose area of Houston. He also owned property in Fort Bend County that has been in his family continuously since 1824, (Stephen F. Austin Colony, Grant #55). Survivors include; son, Newell Dwayne Anderson, & daughter-in-law Margaret Cedillo Anderson; tow grandsons Michael Dwayne Anderson, & wife Josie Gonzales Anderson, Patrick Lynn Anderson, & wife Kathleen Giacone Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Brandt Anderson & Tanya Rochell Anderson, all of Houston; and there mother Katherine Davis Anderson Brames of Richmond. Also surviving is one nephew Marion Dudley Anderson, & wife Reba LeFlore Anderson, of Willis, Texas.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am on Monday, November 28, 2011 with interment following at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
