Nancy Jean Lee, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the age of 64. Nancy was born on December 7, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota to James and Genevieve Devereux. She lived in many places around the United States before settling in Houston. Nancy graduated from Marian Catholic High School and went on to receive a teaching degree from Sam Houston University. She spent many years teaching in HISD before taking a job with the Department of Defense and settling in Kitzingen, Germany where she taught the children on a U.S. military base for 20 years. Upon returning to the United States, Nancy taught one year at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina before retiring in 2007 and moving back to Houston. When we think of Nancy, we will remember her warm, thoughtful, and caring way. She had the ability of putting others before herself and loved to entertain her family and friends. We will also remember her ability to make us laugh with her great sense of humor. She is survived by husband, Freddie, daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Louis Kubiak, son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Kathryn Lee, son, Brian Lee , grandchildren Jonas, Bayah, Madelyn, Carson, and Andrew along with numerous other family members. We will celebrate Nancy’s life Saturday, May 14 at 9:30a.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Private burial to follow. Donations can be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
