Ms. Candace Yvette Jones-Berry

Candy was born on August 18, 1972 in Houston, TX, to Charles Jones (deceased) & Vivian Jones (now Ivory). She was reared in the Baptist faith & was a member of Greater True Vine B.C., where her grandfather O.C. Jones (deceased) was a Deacon & Aaron Stewart is the Pastor. She occasionally fellow shipped with St. Monica Catholic Church, where her grandmother, Katherine Jones, was a member for many years. Candy graduated in 1991 from Eisenhower H.S. She was a people person & was known by many. After she graduated, she became a mother to Gabriel Jones. Then in 1993 Quinn Jones came along.  Candy liked being a mother & did her best with her boys.  While she was able to work, she worked in the restaurant industry.  She excelled on every job & was often promoted.  Candy later married James Berry.  He was a wonderful step dad to her 2 children & loved her unconditionally. Although they grew apart as husband & wife, they maintained a strong friendship.  She later moved to Navasota ,TX, then Washington, TX, where she made many friends & remained there until her passing. She was predeceased by her father, Charles Jones & her grand-father, O.C. Jones, who both played pivotal roles in her upbringing.  She leaves to cherish her memory, 2 sons Gabriel Jones & Quinn Jones, 4 grandchildren Sh’maryah Richardson, Camari Jones, Adrian Jones, & Deonte Jones, her mother Vivian Ivory (Carl), her step-dad Willie Wright, 4 sisters Kimberly Vallien (Marques), Covona Jones, Tanza Jones, & Tiana Jones, 2 grandmothers Katherine Jones & Melvina Johnson, her ex-husband James Berry, & a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
