Erica Simon Nelams was born on February 12, 1976 to European Simon Jr and the late Susie Simon in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Hammond, Louisiana and later returned to Houston, Texas. When she was a teenager she moved to Baytown Texas to care for her ill mother and later married Christopher Nelams. Erica has five children Nathaniel Combs (23), A’lexus Scott (18), Lyneisha Scott (17), and Erik and Erika Simon (4) all of Baytown, Texas. Erica worked in retail for many years until her health problems took over her well-being. She was a great sister to her siblings and brother-in-laws. Erica was a caring wife, a wonderful mother, an outstanding sister, and an awesome friend whom loved all of her nieces and nephews. She was truly loved by her family and friends.
