Robert Charles Walker was born November 8, 1959 to the parents of Robert and Otha Walker in Houston, Texas. He was the seventh of 12 children. Charles received his early education from Shadydale Elem. B.C. Elmore M.S. and graduated from Forest Brook High School. Charles, as he is affectionately known, developed several skills and trades of which he acquired working beside his father at an early age. He also worked with the City of Houston. What we will remember most is that he was the “go to guy” for everything from yard work, general repairs and most of all mechanic work. This was his true gift. Charles had an infectious smile, a kind heart, a mean streak and a love for family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Otha Lee Walker; Sisters Dora Jones and Robbie Lynn Kyles; and Brothers Howard and Gregory Walker. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Damion”Pooh” Walker (Alicia), Aladrian “Peppy” Walker (Maya) Ex-wife and friend Kathy Vidrine Armstrong, Brothers Anthony, Eric Tyrone , and Michael( Natasha); Sisters Lenda Henry (James), Kathleen McElroy (Albert), Kimberly Walker Jerrels, and Trudy Walker Green.. Five grandchildren Daetrika, Alyssa, Zi’Kyriah and Aaliyah and Eric (Scooby) a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” - 1 Peter 5:10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like Him.
