Leon Turner Sr. was born on May 1, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Eddie Turner, who preceded him in death in 1968, and Ruby Turner who preceded him in death on December 21, 2014. Leon was the oldest son of nine children born to this union. Leon attended Carver High School in Houston, Texas until the eleventh grade. He later obtained his GED. He met and married Linda and to this union one son, Leon Jr. was born. Leon and Linda were married for fifty years. Leon was an Associate Minister at Fontaine First Baptist Church. He continued to serve in this position until his health began to fail. Leon leaves to mourn his memory: his wife; Linda, son; Leon Jr., granddaughter; Jada Stewart-Turner, Jada’s mother; Christine Stewart and daughter; Maria Stewart. He also leaves; Patricia Dinnon, Clifford Turner, Mayor Sylvester Turner, Robert Turner, Jacqueline Turner, Donald Ray Turner (Debra), Everett Turner (Doris) of San Antonio, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
