Morris David Martin

Morris David Martin, 74, of Humble, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2022. Born in Bridge City, Texas, on September 11, 1947, to Lillian and Huntz Martin, Morris graduated from Bridge City High School in 1965. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University (formerly Lamar State College of Technology) in Beaumont, Texas. He met Margo DeVillier of Groves, Texas, and they were married on August 25, 1973, in Port Arthur, Texas.

Morris had a successful career in Mechanical Engineering with Total Energies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. (formerly Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc.) in Port Arthur, Texas that spanned over 50 years and across the globe. He served as a certified Professional Engineer and was a member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Morris loved his family, especially his grandchildren, was passionate about golf, travel, and fine dining.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Huntz and Lillian Martin, and his brother, Edward Martin.

He is survived by his brother Arthur Martin of Vidor, Texas, sister Pansy Mills of Bridge City, Texas, Margo, his wife of 49 years, daughter Amber Martin Graham and Matthew Springer of Houston, Heather Larsen and husband Michael of Kingwood, grandchildren Margo Anne, David, and James and London, Parker, and Pierce.
