Mirna Aracely Gonzalez

Mirna Aracely Gonzalez was healed spiritually and was welcomed into God’s Holy presence on October 18th 2021. She was born on November 1st 1963 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico to her parents Guadalupe and Beatriz Rodriguez de Valadez. She grew up in Valle Hermoso and worked as a florist. She moved to the United States when she married her husband, Genaro O. Gonzalez in January of 1984. She loved to draw, sew, crochet, make necklaces and bracelets, and make hair bows. She was a very creative grandma! She also loved taking pictures of her family as well as being surrounded by all of them. She always had a camera or her phone in her hand snapping and recording memories. Her life was her children and grandchildren, but more than anything she loved the Lord with all of her heart.

Mirna is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Beatriz Rodriguez de Valadez. She is survived by her husband, Genaro O. Gonzalez, and their four children: Nestor Gonzalez and wife Stephanie, Noel Gonzalez and wife Vanessa, M. Priscilla Buchanan and husband Nathan, and Genaro N. Gonzalez; five grandchildren, Jazmin A. Gonzalez, Nevaeh A. Gonzalez, Natalie N. Gonzalez, Camila B. Buchanan, and Alina R. Gonzalez; six siblings, Blanca E. Valadez, Daniel Valadez, Carmen G. Valadez, Miguel A. Valadez, Jesus A. Valadez, Julio C. Valadez.

A visitation for Mirna will be held Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Doverside Baptist Church, 619 Berry Rd, Houston, TX 77022. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
