MINERVA T PAVIA, age 77, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on Friday January 4, 2019 at St. Lukes Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Minnie was born March 28, 1941 in Laredo, TX. She was the youngest of six siblings. In her childhood, her family relocated to Houston, TX. She then moved to Philadelphia where she would live with her husband Mariano and three children Andre, Mario, and Yvette for approximately 10 years. They then relocated back to Houston where she finished her career as a dental assistant and retired from the City of Houston. Minnie was the Matriarch of her family, she was kind, warm, thoughtful and she welcomed anyone into her home with loving arms. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and a second mom to many. She never complained or had a bad thing to say about anyone. Her faith was unwavering and tested greatly. Minnie loved sharing her memories from her life experiences.
In 2014, Minnie was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. She lived graciously and courageously with it until the very end. Loved ones that cleared the path for Minnie are her father Servando Treviño, Sr., her mother Marcela Trevino, brothers; Jose Israel Trevino, Servando Trevino, Jr., and Arnold Trevino, Sr. Loved ones that will miss Minnie until they meet again are her husband Mariano Pavia of 43 years, her sons Andre Gonzalez Sr. and his wife Veronica, Mario Pavia and his wife Ladoska, and her daughter Yvette Pavlock and her husband B.J., her sister Beatrice G. Lopez, her brother Ruben Trevino, Sr., 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Minerva will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel ~ Crespo, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, TX 77087 with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel ~ Crespo, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, TX 77087.
