He was born in Ft. Bragg, NC on May 13, 1942 to Dahlia (née Bunn) and Milford Killion. After his father’s Army service ended in 1949 the family settled in Houston.
After graduating from Sam Houston High School in 1961 Milford served in the USAF, which further fueled his love of aircraft and flying.
He married Judy in December 1967 and they were blessed with Carrie almost 6 years later.
Known as “Tank” by coworkers, he worked for Eastern Airlines and United Airlines for a combined total of almost 30 years. In between the stints with the airlines he became a certified locksmith.
His passions outside his family were traveling and ice hockey. His excitement for any upcoming trip was palpable. Whether it was going to see family, or visiting somewhere new, he loved being on the go. He also served as an off-ice official for the Houston Aeros for 19 seasons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, many beloved aunts and uncles, and his grand-dog, Rider.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Killion of Spring; daughter, Carrie Killion (Scott Merchant) of Austin, TX; sister, Barbara Killion of Huntsville; brother, Dwight (Terri) Killion of Liberty Hill; niece, Donna (Matt) Arnold of Leander; four nephews: James (Liz) Killion of Dayton, OH; Aaron Ripkowski of New Waverly; Andrew Ripkowski of New Waverly; Adam Ripkowski of Caldwell; and a great-nephew Connor Arnold. There are numerous wonderful cousins all over the state of North Carolina; and cousins, Howard (Joyce) Strickland and Liz Knust and her family, all of Maryland. His great “hockey family”, and wonderful caring neighbors. Longtime friends Amy & Dan Deluhery. “Let me tell you son…”
