Michael Francis Riley, 59, of Spring, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 18th. Mike was born on November 3rd, 1960 to Frank B. Riley and Mary L. Kershaw Riley in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Havertown High School, Mike went on to become a Physician’s Assistant at Hahnemann University.
Anyone who knew Mike knew that he was the most loving father, brother, uncle, clinician, and friend anyone could ask for. Mike was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Mary Riley, and his nephew, Jason E. Kelly. He is survived by his children, Michael (Tara) Riley, and Justin Riley; His sisters: Patti (Eric) Paczulla and Barbara Hassan; His nieces and nephews: Richard, Jill, Logan, Sorcha, Elaine, Kelly, Isabel, and Niko.
Mike was a generous and honorable man, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.
Mike was passionate about many sports. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and all teams in Philly. Mike was also a devoted TCU Football fan, after spending many years watching his nephew Jason, a man that was like a brother to him, play left tackle for the Horned Frogs. Mike was also a loving and proud dog dad to his English Mastiff, Rocky.
Mike was passionate about helping others. Whether it meant a warm meal, a place to sleep or a good laugh - Mike was there. Mike had a way of making everyone he met feel like family. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.
A gathering for Michael will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A memorial service will occur Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068.
