Michael Anthony Ponce, age 60, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. Michael was born March 23, 1961 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Michael is preceded in death by his father Elias Manuel Ponce and his brother Thomas Manuel Ponce. He is survived by his mother Rose Monti Ponce, his sister Laura Ponce Ali, his nephews Daniel Elias Ponce and his wife Sara Black, David Ali, his nieces Eva Rose Ponce, Lucille Jen Ponce, his aunts Barbara Farias, Maria Teresa Mendez and many loving cousins and numerous close friends.
In 1979 Michael opened one of the first nail salons in Houston. He was a true artist and brought that creativity to life in the daily operation of his craft. Michael later joined the family real estate business where he was a salesman and later an inside administrator until his retirement.
He was well traveled and made several European and Asian excursions bringing back and abundance of memorabilia and history. His presence is all that we see around us. Michael will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
